路徑的空間形塑 / the formation of view path
這是一個景觀建築設計方法的實踐。藉由人造物介入引導訪客的視野方向，同時製造過程中的驚奇，並延伸為一系列的空間經驗。這樣的過程最後以一個建築的整體來作為實踐。 本案是舊建築再利用的案子。管理單位選用了壽山上的舊營舍，再利用為遊客中心、管理中心和宿舍。我們希望這不僅只是「拉皮」的工作，而能讓新究立面並陳，並創造新的空間經驗。隨著斜坡道延伸出既有量體的遊客中心，滿足了大空間的需求，也營造出新的建築表情。 景觀建築的設計方法可以有多種不同詮釋，有些企圖以擬仿的方式以建築再現地景的變化，而我們在這裡嘗試的是將景觀的空間經驗收納於建築空間之中。 The design method of this project is derived from landscape design: the view path. Architecture is treated as the container of a sequence of spatial experience. We want to focus on creating sensational experience rather than architectural form itself. This is basically a renovation project. New programs such as tourist centre, administration office and dormitory are addded into the old military house. We tried to develope the project more than just a ‘face-lift’ job. Instead, the new elements along with new space coexist with old facade. New experience to existing space is created. New auditorium presents as the extension of ramp from existing building. There are different ways of representing the phrase of ‘Landscapers’ (Bestsky,2002). Some may consider them as the transformation of landform. What we experiment here is architecture as the container of visiting experience.
